Some like it rough.

A rose by any other name would smell so sweet, so they say. After a very comical rant by my sister, I thought I’d pose the question to the masses as to why there are so many violent names for sex.

Why are we “cuttin”, “porking”, “beating” and “smashing”? What is this origin of such terminology. I asked a good guy friend about this once and instead of providing anwers, he gave more examples. One from a song in which a chic is singing “Stab up mi meat! Stab up mi meat!” Word?! Is this what’s desired? I’m all for random vulgarity at times but that just sounds painful?

History teaches us that the work FUCK is in its nature, is violent. Having the literal meaning Forced Unlawful Carnal Knowledge or rape. Is this violent primal terminology just an evolution or derivative of Fucking?

Does anyone have any insight as to why, how or when, this became the case? Granted it cannot always be making love and Maxwell but “beat my face?” Really?
